Ark Items

Ark Items are items that improve the entire sector when placed in the appropriate socket in your Ark.

There are three different qualities of ark items: , and .  In order of increasing quality; from lowest quality , to highest quality .

You can acquire these items from:

1. All the NPCs Arks and some of the NPC Islands
2. Trenchcoat
3. Sending ships on Expeditions
4. Completing Quests for NPCs
5. Destroying certain NPC ships like Hector's.
6. Research at the Academy

Licenses are required to get the items from the NPCs and Trenchcoat.

If you see this:symbol on an item, it can be socketed in an Ark.

If you see this: symbol on an item, you need the Deep Ocean expansion for it.

The list below shows all Ark Items that cannot be researched. The 1* star items can be bought from NPCs (Yana and Trenchcoat), 2* star items are rewards from quests given by Banes, Green or Father after you built their monuments, and the 3* star item "Deregulation algorithm" can be bought from NPCs (Thorne and Yana).
