Bugs, Exploits and Other (Funny) Stuff
The Nordamark Border Conflict offers a quick way to gain influence with Yana: she'll give +10 influence upon passing the 50 ecobalance marker.(This has been noted on other articles).
I tested and this seems not to work on the third mission.
Also, Rufus will give you +10 influence for passing specific income levels. I tried to play around with that the same way as with Yana, but Rufus is, sadly, smarter than that.
So I'm playing Anno 2070, third mission of atomic terror, everything is going good. Yana is giving me a complex quest called Recruiter, that has several small quests inside. So I completed first two of them without any problem, and the third one is: go to the ark and take a package from Yana (and then I have to do deliveries to 4 ships that are at random spots of the map). OK. BUT! I went to Yana's ark, I went to my ark, I went whenever possible with whatever ships possible and nothing is happening, so eventually I'm just running out of time and loosing the quest. What on earth am I doing wrong? |
I have been playing anno 2070 for a long time,
everytime when i start a new map and spent many hours to build it,
the game will eventually end up with the ascension arrow gone missing
and the arks (devi, yana, thorne) all gone missing,
it always end up with a screwed up save game after the play time racks up to more than 582 hours
i suspect it is something to do with the total playtime counter
because around these values if you multiply total play time with 1024, the binary values begin to spill over to the 32th bit.
please help,
i could not find any mention on this on the web,
anyone know of a way to reset the play time in continuous game?
save file editing?
or cheat engine method to reset playtime to zero?
i am running on 2.00.7780 deep ocean non steam version
Thank you,
When I buy an item from a NPC with my licenses my credits take a hit of 3,000 to 10,000 and go down by another 40,000 or so over the next seveeral minutes. I have a 1,200 positive tax balance. Why is my credits balance taking a hit when I use licenses to buy items?
I recorded my plight at https://www.twitch.tv/videos/149532781
I can't seem to do anything except order tools, and I can't see any of the map except the ark. Is this a bug?
The method explained here does mnot work. Please delete any misleading information or close this damn wikia, it's completely useless.
At one of the missions you can get hijackers or cargo thieves (don't remember quite) to hijack father's ships (or steal their shields) and you can put them on your warships and transport ships.
Hey,
A little while ago I received one of those racing missions from Seamus Green where you have to beat a Competitor's Ship to several checkpoints. When I clicked on the Ship I noticed it had about 400hp. I figured that anything that has hitpoints can be destroyed so I sent out my Firebird to bomb the Competitor's Ship straight back to the depths of hell. It worked, the ship sunk and I got a message saying that "Resident" declared war on me. I think we can finally give the miscellanious white faction a name :) I took a screenie of this event.
Somebody's gotta continue these.
- "I wouldn't really say that Hector and I are... Friends. More like fellow sufferers or something. We both have the authorities on our backs, someone's always tryin' to pin somethin' on us... That does kinda bond you, ya know?"
- —
- "What do I care where Hector gets the Goods he offers me. In the end, it's not really my problem... If there's somethin' interesting, I buy it --- and that's it."
- —
- "If I was a couple o' years younger... I'd probably be kinda like Leon Moreau: Uncomfortable... And hated by most."
- —
- "Moreau tackles problems at grass roots. I think that takes a lot o' guts... Wonder how long it'll take before I'm one of the "victims" on his hit list?"
- —
- "Vadim Sokow... The name slips down like Oil, doesn't it? [laughs hoarsely] Well, people who bribe the Senate just don't meet a lot of resistance..."
- —
- "Vadim Sokow is doin' real well these days... Monopolies, wholesale prices, all that crap... Since then I can hardly even sell the few barrels of Oil I got on board!... Interested?"
- —
- "This "idyll" at Jorgensen's... Up with the chickens... All day on your feet... I hear my old bones crackin' jus' thinking about it. Nothing for old Trenchcoat..."
- —No, that kind of life is not for everyone.
- "Last time Tilda wanted to leave me her family tree as collateral for her unpaid bills... [amused chuckle] I'm sure it's a great thing for her to know all of her ancestors back to year one. But that scrap of parchment is only of sentimental value."
- —
- "A bounty hunter for a wife... That'd be a nice one! By the time those guys had rubbed their eyes and wiped the drool off their chins, Keto would have slit their throats!"
- —Possible romantic interest?
- "I was never a fan of the Military. All that yelling, no privacy, the punctuality and stuff... People like me get tossed out of there sooner or later, and then probably end up like Keto and her mercenaries."
- —
- "If there's a gun nut in this sector, his name is Thor Strindberg. He buys anything with a barrel and a trigger."
- —"Gun nut" is an understatement.
- "Heard Thor Strindberg's plannin' a little vendetta. Someone peed on his leg once, and he still hasn't gotten over it... [laughs] Well, it can't be me - business with him is better than ever!"
- —No, it was me, apparently.
- "Banged in their house on the ocean floor like hermit crabs and never comin' up to the surface. Hiro Ebashi and those E.T.O. types are really bad for business …"
- —
- "Wanna bet that Hiro Ebashi is sittin' alone in his deep-sea station? Only ever seen him... No wonder the guy's nutso! - Spare me the grin! With me it's totally different!"
- —
- "Smart cookie, that Tori Bartok."
- —Keeping it brief.
- "Bartok's inventions might be really expensive now. But if you come by tomorrow, well, I'll be able to make you a fine price. There ain't much in this world that gets better with age. 'cept for my old tub, here … or her captain."
- —
- "In public, Rufus Thorne always acts as if he has nothing to do with people like me. But when he's after a good bottle of wine or an old recording of a Wagner opera, well... He just pulls his hat down over his face comes to me, polite as can be."
- —
- "Thorne'd never admit it, but Global Trust is pretty much a regular customer. He sure is interested in them old data storage doohickeys I sometimes get in. Reckon I'll double the price next time ..."
- —
- "I just don't get what Yana Rodriguez sees in that Eden Initiative. She's a young 'un, got some fire in her! And then she lets them paperpushers fence her in like that … I'd lit out ages ago."
- —
- "Sometimes that Yana Rodriguez is some impatient, I'll tell ya. Nothing ever goes fast enough for her. Well, if she wants to be playing boss hog at the Eden Initiative, that's her lookout. But she'll be a whole lot quieter on my ship, let me tell you."
- —
- "Business with that old Professor Devi is real good. He's got a powerful lot of skills, but horse trading ain't one of them. Ain't that just too bad! [coughing laugh]"
- —
- "Got a deal runnin' with Devi. I get all that old Tech stuff from S.A.A.T. at a real fine price. The only thing with the deal is, if that junk falls apart, it's me people start looking for, not him."

I've put many, many hours in a continuous play. To give you an idea of the scale of the sector, I managed to complete all population achievements in this particular sector.
Today, for some reason, every time I load my game from a certain point the game will not load the latest decorative trees I had built and it will also remove any trees placed by a Tree Nursery for my wood production. I've got thousands of buildings around and I noticed this bug will occur at a point where I'm optimizing my capital island's harbours with Tech defensive platforms.
I'm probably the only person on the planet experiencing this particular problem (which is aesthetically annoying but not neccessarily game-breaking) but I wonder if any of you guys have experienced similar problems or, more importantly, if anyone knows how to fix this.
Whenever I use fine chemicals to stop a black smoker on my underwater plateau, it would simply disappear without any fertility showing up. After I transported it to my place I insert it to my warehouse as an active item and the little play arrow appears. When I then click the icon it disappears without further effect. I tried to select it above and underwater, and on a different warehouse... I tried about 6 times by now trying to figure out how to use it.
Does it randomly stop any black smoker, or can I should I be able select one or does it just stop any on the entire map? Maybe it takes a few hours? I don't get it. When I have multiple, can I induce multiple fertilities?
Lately these are out of sequence. I'll click on Current Events, accept the quest from whoever, go back into the game, and EVE will give me some jazz that has nothing to do with it. In other words it's the wrong mission. For example; the event is go rescue some clowns, or bring the evidence to Devi, ok. Pop back into the game and EVE says bring 25t of meat to a stranded ship instead.
Whats that all about? Could it be from loading other saves to snag an item or two? Well, sometimes when that happens I'll load up a save that has the jazz the event mission needs and run it there, since EVE seems to transfer the mission anyway.
For some reason, I can't get the Eco Workers to get any food, but I have a mega crap ton stored in my warehouses. There is no way it all is being used up before it gets to them, but they all have nothing incoming and are leaving.
First up I'm running a legit version of the game.
I have noticed just recently that some of my harbours (and under water ones too) will not service the surrounding facilities. This is extremely annoying and the only way to fix it is to plonk a depot down near it.
Also I have noticed that the add on for ships work intermittantly, particularly the EMP pulse and now the emergency equipment for putting out oil rig fires.
I built the add on, put it in my command ship and raced to the fire, only to have it make that wierd 'fail' zork noise when I try and activate it. I change position, changed ships even but to no avail. I cant get it to work.
Anyone else having these issues?
Has anyone else noticed that you can actually load more into an oil tanker than you can actually see (you can only see 6 slots, which is equivalent to the Container Ship), but you can actually add 2X 60 tons of other items, and while you don't see them when the ship is full, as you start emptying it, they become "useable" again!
...Would be nice to have this fixed!
